Statements like the above illustrate the power of representation and how it may feel to not see yourself reflected in the world around you. Marginalized folks have had this experience for much of their life and now that some folks are starting to see less of themselves represented in the world, they are feeling put out and are finding it hard to see where they may fit in such a world.
