a queer chaplain
β¨ Holding space. Sharing stories. Sparkling the sacred. β¨
Hosted by Bonnie Violet Quintana β a trans femme genderqueer spiritual drag artist and digital chaplain β A Queer Chaplain podcast is where healing meets glitter, spirituality meets skepticism, and the sacred is reclaimed, one story at a time.
This podcast is a soft landing for the tender, the curious, the ex-religious, the spiritual-ish, the seekers, the creators, the joyful, the recovering, and the beautifully complicated. Each episode weaves together interviews, reflections, and spiritual drag β pulling threads from across Bonnie Violetβs work as a community organizer, podcaster, and chaplain.
Whether weβre talking about gender blessings, queer grief, trans joy, drag as ministry, or the awkward holiness of just being human β this is a space for honest conversation, healing possibilities, and connection that doesnβt require belief β just curiosity.
Expect episodes that dip into:
- β¨ Stories from LGBTQ2SIA+ folks healing from and reimagining spiritual life
- π Sacred drag performances and reflections
- π§ββοΈ Queer recovery, rituals, and rites of passage
- π€ Highlights from Bonnieβs many projects like Trans Joy Boise, Drag & Spirituality, Cut & Uncut, and more
- π Spiritual services β from weddings to memorials to drag blessings β and the radical ways we honor each other
This is your digital sanctuary β with rhinestones
.
βSheβs not here to fix or convert β just to accompany, witness, and help people feel more connected and more themselves.β

Season 2 - Episode 2
π In the Comments
I have been impacted a bit more than usual by what is being left or said "in the comments" across all my social platforms. I do my best to try to "pay these no mind" and I am very curious as to the why behind the comments and the perceived seeking to comment. A conversation about the current culture wars in politics, on the streets, in the churches, and in the comments.
Join me each week as I attempt to say something. These somethings will be a time for story telling, a time for experience share and whatever comes out of my mouth.
I will commit to go LIVE each week at 333pm MST for 33 minutes or less to SAY SOMETHING. WATCH live each week on YouTube or LISTEN afterwords wherever you listen to podcasts @aqueerchaplain.

Bonnie Violet & Tina Frank
Tina, is a conservative christian woman and Bonnie Violet, a trans gender queer drag queen. While many family members are choosing to no longer speak, we have chosen to sit at the table and engage in difficult conversation to find peace and restoration.
